Former tennis star Caroline Wozniacki and her husband, David Lee, are adding another member to their family! Wozniacki shared the happy news on social media on Sunday, revealing she is pregnant with their third child.
In a playful announcement referencing her husband`s basketball background, Wozniacki joked about switching to a `zone defense` as they will soon be outnumbered by their kids. The couple, who already have two children, Olivia (3) and James (2), received congratulations from fellow athletes like Karolina Pliskova, Eugenie Bouchard, and Angelique Kerber, who is also expecting her second child.
Wozniacki and Lee`s two children were born during her break from professional tennis. After retiring in 2020, Wozniacki, now 34, made a comeback in 2023. She stated her return was motivated by wanting to inspire her children to pursue their dreams regardless of age or circumstances.
Since returning to the sport, Wozniacki has achieved notable results, including reaching the fourth round of the US Open twice and the quarterfinals at Indian Wells. She also competed at Wimbledon and the Paris Olympics, and climbed back into the WTA Top 100 rankings.
Even without playing this year, Wozniacki remained connected to tennis as a commentator at the Australian Open, where she also had the honor of bringing the trophy onto the court for the tournament`s opening day.
