Serena Williams Recognized Among Most Influential

Serena Williams has once again been honored as one of the world`s 100 most influential people. This marks her third appearance on the prestigious list, which celebrates individuals globally who are making a significant impact and driving progress.

Fellow Olympian Allyson Felix lauded Williams` inclusion in the `Titans` category, alongside figures like Simone Biles and Blake Lively. Felix acknowledged Williams` resilience in overcoming pregnancy challenges and her successful return to professional sports after childbirth.

Felix emphasized that Williams exemplifies athletes` multifaceted nature, extending far beyond their athletic achievements. She praised Williams for consistently pushing boundaries and venturing into diverse fields.

“Whether it`s through her investment firm supporting businesses founded by women and minorities, or her involvement in the ownership of the Toronto Tempo WNBA team, or even her Super Bowl halftime performance, she constantly demonstrates that athletes are not limited to a single dimension,” Felix commented.

Felix further added, “She doesn`t need to engage in all these endeavors. She could choose a quieter life focused on her family. Instead, she persists in leading the way. Numerous female athletes see themselves reflected in Serena. Her triumphs resonate as victories for all of us.”

The recognition of Williams was accompanied by an extensive profile that highlighted her entrepreneurial pursuits, including her venture capital firm, Serena Ventures. The article also touched upon her connection with rising female athletes like Caitlin Clark and her contentment with her evolving journey beyond professional tennis, despite feeling physically capable of competing at the highest level even at 43.

“I`ve dedicated my entire life to tennis, and I would willingly give another two years if time permitted. However, exploring different paths is also rewarding,” Williams stated.

Coco Gauff expressed her admiration, noting, “[M]ost influential people of all time, it`s an incredible achievement she truly deserves. She has influenced millions, myself included. Not just in tennis, but globally, inspiring women to be strong, especially women of color.”

Gauff concluded, “It`s absolutely deserved. I wasn`t surprised to see it. And her photos were stunning.”
