NWSL Week 2 Power Rankings: Kansas City, Houston, and San Diego Rise

The 2025 NWSL season is underway, and the power rankings are shifting after just two weeks. We`re seeing movement compared to the initial rankings from week one.

Orlando Pride looks like a strong contender for the championship, especially as Gotham FC has struggled offensively. Kansas City`s dominant win against Washington Spirit has made the top of the league more competitive.

While the top teams remain relatively stable, the middle of the rankings is very fluid. Many teams are showing inconsistent performances, with some needing more time to find their rhythm and others demonstrating flashes of their potential.

Racing Louisville experienced a significant drop this week. They couldn`t maintain momentum from their first game draw, and the injury of midfielder Savannah DeMelo adds to their challenges, raising questions about their season outlook.

There`s still plenty of the season left for teams to climb in the rankings. NWSL fans can watch regular season games on CBS, CBS Sports Network, Paramount+, and CBS Sports Golazo Network.
