Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and more react to PSG winning the Champions League final over Inter

Paris Saint-Germain made history by securing their first-ever Champions League title with a dominant 5-0 victory over Inter Milan in the final. This triumph is the first for a French club since 1993 and marks the fulfillment of President Nasser Al-Khelaifi`s long-term vision. While this historic win could signal the beginning of a dominant era for PSG, the immediate focus is on celebrating this incredible achievement before looking ahead to the Club World Cup in the United States.

This victory also completed a historic treble for PSG. For manager Luis Enrique, this is his second career treble, having previously achieved it with Barcelona. PSG`s Champions League win was unexpected by many, especially after they finished only 15th in the league phase. However, the mid-season arrival of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia significantly boosted their performance. As the team celebrates, tributes are pouring in from across the football world.

Kylian Mbappe (Real Madrid Forward)

Although he left PSG for Real Madrid the season before this historic win, Kylian Mbappe took to Instagram to congratulate his former team. “The big day has finally arrived. Victory and with the manner of a whole club, congratulations PSG,” Mbappe wrote.

Mbappe will still pursue his first Champions League title with Real Madrid next season. The club will have a new manager, Xabi Alonso, who joins after leaving Bayer Leverkusen. This season, Real Madrid failed to secure any trophies.

Neymar (Santos Forward)

Neymar, who was signed alongside Lionel Messi as part of PSG`s previous push for Champions League glory, also shared a congratulatory message on social media following the win.

He posted simply: “Congratulations PSG,” accompanied by five clapping emojis.

The Eiffel Tower Celebration

Paris` most iconic landmark, the Eiffel Tower (which is also featured in PSG`s club crest), was illuminated in the team`s red and blue colors to celebrate the victory. Paris is set for a night of celebration, with the landmark providing a spectacular light show.

Thiago Silva (Fluminense Defender)

Former PSG captain and defender Thiago Silva commented on the achievement, posting: “What an achievement — Congratulations, PSG.”

Lucas Moura (Sao Paulo Forward)

Lucas Moura, a forward who also previously played for the Parisian club, added his words of support: “Congratulations Paris! Champions my brother,” Moura stated.

Lionel Messi`s Reaction

Lionel Messi, who played alongside both Neymar and Mbappe during his time at PSG, had not publicly reacted to the win as of Saturday night. His current club, Inter Miami, had a match scheduled for Saturday evening.
