Linkin Park is set to headline the UEFA Champions League Kick Off Show for the 2025 final. The band recently returned to the music scene, releasing `From Zero`, their first new album in seven years.
They have recorded a new remix specifically for the event, which will debut before the final. This follows previous years` pre-match performances, including Lenny Kravitz who headlined the 2024 show. These musical performances have become a regular and anticipated part of the final`s build-up in recent years.
The band expressed their excitement about the upcoming performance, stating, “With our new album and ongoing tour, we`ve been overwhelmed by the fans` energy and excitement. We can`t wait to share that same energy and excitement at the UEFA Champions League Final Kick Off Show presented by Pepsi.” They added that it`s a “totally new experience” for them and they look forward to sharing “favorite songs from the past and present” with the live audience and millions watching globally.
Linkin Park holds the distinction of being the only rock band with over two billion yearly streams. Their performance is expected to feature a mix of their classic hits and new material, celebrating both their history and future. The Kick Off Show can be viewed as part of the pre-game coverage leading up to the Champions League final.
Who is the Lead Singer?
The current lead singer for Linkin Park is 39-year-old Emily Armstrong from Los Angeles. She officially joined the band on September 5, 2024.
Many fans will remember the band being fronted by Chester Bennington, the former lead singer who tragically passed away in 2017 at the age of 41. Bennington, who joined in 1999, was the voice on many of the band`s major hits, including `In the End` and `Crawling`.
Before joining Linkin Park, Emily Armstrong had previously recorded and performed with artists such as The Offspring and Beck.
