Rory McIlroy and his daughter Poppy
Rory McIlroy hopes his daughter`s impressive putt is a good sign for his Masters week.

Rory McIlroy`s four-year-old daughter, Poppy, stole the spotlight at the Masters Par 3 contest on Wednesday. She made a remarkable 25-foot downhill putt with incredible ease.

Expectations were understandably low when Poppy approached the ball on the ninth green, holding a putter in just one hand. However, she delivered a delightful surprise. With a gentle tap, she sent the ball rolling and curving directly towards the hole.

As the ball dropped into the cup, McIlroy`s caddie, Lowry, reacted with astonishment, throwing his hands up in the air. Poppy celebrated her successful putt with a heartwarming hug from her dad.

“We have been waiting for nine months since the last major, so concluding our preparations with such an enjoyable afternoon is fantastic,” McIlroy shared with reporters.

He added, “If you`re not prepared by this point, you`re unlikely to have a chance. Let`s enjoy ourselves, head home for dinner, and get some rest and relaxation before Thursday.”

McIlroy is considered a top contender for this year`s Masters, which commences on Thursday. He is once again aiming to secure the coveted green jacket and become only the sixth golfer in history to achieve a career Grand Slam.
