Jaylen Brown Receives Painkilling Injections for Knee Injury

Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown has received painkilling injections in his right knee this week, according to reports. The All-Star player has been dealing with a bone bruise and posterior impingement in his right knee, causing him to miss seven of the Celtics` recent 15 games. Since March 12th, he hasn`t played more than 30 minutes in any game.

During Tuesday`s overtime victory against the New York Knicks, Brown exited the game in the third quarter and did not return. He has been absent for the subsequent two games but is expected to be ready for the playoffs starting next weekend, as per reports.

Celtics center Kristaps Porzingis commented on Brown`s toughness, noting his `warrior mindset.` Porzingis suggested Brown should prioritize his health to be prepared for the crucial playoff moments. He expressed confidence in Brown`s judgment to ensure he is healthy for the upcoming challenges.

Following a loss against the Miami Heat on April 2nd, Brown admitted to experiencing pain but emphasized his determination to play through it. He acknowledged that he is managing the injury and accepting that he won`t feel completely normal while playing.

Brown mentioned consulting specialists and expressed confidence in the Celtics` medical staff and their plan for his recovery. His goal is to be in optimal condition for the playoffs.

This regular season, Brown has averaged 22.2 points, 5.8 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 1.2 steals in 34.3 minutes per game across 63 games. However, his 3-point shooting percentage has dropped to a career-low of 32.4%.

The Celtics will conclude their regular season by hosting the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday. As the Eastern Conference`s No. 2 seed, they will face the winner of the play-in game between the Orlando Magic and Atlanta Hawks in the first round of the playoffs.
