Marking its 20th anniversary, Forza Motorsport has released a significant update for players on PC and Xbox Series X|S. This major patch, intended as a thank you to the community, introduces a highly anticipated feature: public multiplayer meetups.
Players can now choose from four distinct meetup modes: two focused on drifting and two on traditional racing rules. Both mode types feature playlists that cycle through all 73 available track configurations. Drift enthusiasts gain an additional permanent 24/7 playlist dedicated to the recently returned Fujimi Kaido circuit. For fans of endurance and challenging tracks, the legendary Nürburgring Nordschleife, famously known as the `Green Hell` in Germany, also receives its own continuous 24/7 playlist in race mode.
The developers have also utilized this update to implement improvements to the game`s AI behavior. The AI is now designed to drive more cleanly and safely, particularly during the often chaotic opening moments of a race. Players using steering wheels will find improved handling feedback, though they will need to re-adjust their steering sensitivity settings the first time they use their peripheral after installing the update.
In the spirit of the anniversary celebration, the update incorporates several popular songs from previous Forza Motorsport game soundtracks, alongside a selection of brand-new musical pieces.
For those who enjoy the single-player experience, a permanent “20th Anniversary Tour” has been added to the career mode. This tour is structured into seven series, each containing four events, making a total of 28 races. One series will become available each week. The initial leg of the tour includes races on the Fujimi Kaido, Maple Valley, WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, and Sunset Peninsula Raceway circuits.
Successfully completing the entire 20th Anniversary Tour rewards players with the coveted 2022 Acura NSX Type S. Furthermore, finishing each individual leg of the tour unlocks a new racing suit, each inspired by different installments in the history of the Forza Motorsport series.
Beyond the major additions, the update also includes numerous bug fixes, gameplay adjustments, new challenges, and multiplayer tours, enhancing the experience for hobby racers during this significant milestone.
