FIFA Club World Cup 2025: Schedule & Results

The summer of football sees a major change with the expanded FIFA Club World Cup 2025. Hosted in the USA, this first edition features 32 teams from around the world competing for a significant prize fund.

Many prominent clubs, such as UEFA Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain and Argentine powerhouses Boca Juniors, are set to compete, each vying for a strong performance. The tournament field is largely composed of European teams (12 participants), with South America contributing six. Four teams each come from Asia and Africa, while North America sends five, including three MLS sides. Oceania has one representative, the amateur club Auckland City.

Although teams share common objectives, the stakes differ. Underdogs like Lionel Messi`s Inter Miami and Simone Inzaghi-managed Al-Hilal hope to make an impact in a competition where European teams are expected to dominate. Several transatlantic clubs, including Real Madrid, Manchester City, and Inzaghi`s former team Inter Milan (who finished their recent seasons without trophies), aim to meet expectations and chase this final piece of silverware.
