Dyrachyo Calls Out Xtreme Gaming and Talon Esports for ‘Boring’ Playstyles

Professional Dota 2 player Anton `dyrachyo` Shkredov hasn`t held back, recently sharing his strong opinions on the playstyles of two specific teams: Xtreme Gaming and Talon Esports. According to dyrachyo, these teams represent “the most boring” viewing experience in professional Dota 2.

Dyrachyo`s disdain for Xtreme Gaming is particularly pointed. He described their approach as “super low-skill and super boring,” going so far as to call them his “most unloved team.” A core part of his criticism focuses on their carries, specifically citing player `Ame` who, in dyrachyo`s view, would “farm for 40 minutes” just to emerge with a full inventory. This passive, late-game strategy, he stated, was “simply disgusting” for him to watch.

Talon Esports fares no better in dyrachyo`s estimation. His primary issue with them stems from their tendency to consistently play incredibly long games, often exceeding an hour. He found this protracted style “very nasty” to watch, whether he was playing against them or just spectating. Talon`s perceived “thing,” according to dyrachyo, was to “farm for an hour,” pick ultra-late-game heroes, “farm all life,” and then finally be ready for serious fights. This drawn-out approach clearly grates on the Gaimin Gladiators carry.

In contrast to these lengthy, farm-centric games, dyrachyo expressed a preference for watching teams like Team Liquid or others that offer surprises and varied strategies. The implication is clear: dynamic gameplay, unexpected picks, and more aggression are far more appealing from a viewer`s standpoint than patiently waiting for a late-game inevitability.

Dyrachyo`s candid remarks highlight a key tension in professional Dota 2: the balance between optimal strategy (sometimes involving slow farming) and viewer entertainment. While effective, the slow-burn, late-game focused strategies employed by teams like Xtreme and Talon are, for some, simply a snooze fest. His comments offer a blunt, player`s perspective on what makes competitive Dota 2 compelling – or utterly tedious – to watch.
