Draymond Green Blasts Dillon Brooks for Skipping Handshakes: ‘Nobody on the Court Respects You’

After the Golden State Warriors defeated the Houston Rockets in Game 7 on Sunday evening, Rockets player Dillon Brooks chose to walk off the court without participating in the customary post-game handshakes. This action drew criticism from Warriors veteran Draymond Green, who addressed the incident on his podcast.

During a recent episode of “The Draymond Green Show,” Green strongly condemned Brooks for leaving the court immediately after his team`s loss. Brooks had adopted a persistent and provocative role throughout the series, even admitting that he had intentionally targeted Steph Curry`s injured hand.

Given his behavior during the competition, Green expressed his view that Brooks should have remained on the court and faced the Warriors after his defeat, showing better sportsmanship.

“You admitted you was trying to hurt Steph`s hand, which is fine by me, bro… If you gonna be talking, if you`re gonna be Mr. Big Bad Wolf, don`t lose and then not face the music. Don`t be that guy because, again, you lose a lot of respect for guys in that moment. That`s who Dillon Brooks is. You a sucka, man.”

Green further escalated his critique, asserting that Dillon Brooks completely lacks respect from his peers on the court.

“Dillon Brooks couldn`t come through in this series, in large part, because nobody on the court respects you,” Green stated emphatically.

The heated rivalry between Green and Brooks, which intensified significantly over the past couple of weeks, will now be paused. Green and the Golden State Warriors must now direct their attention to their next challenge: facing Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves in the second round of the playoffs.
