CONMEBOL World Cup Qualifying Schedule and Outlook

Argentina has already secured its spot in the 2026 World Cup. However, the CONMEBOL qualifying race remains highly competitive behind them, with a mere three points separating second-place Ecuador from sixth-place Colombia. While South American qualifiers are typically intense, this cycle is proving more unpredictable than previous ones, as traditional powerhouses Brazil and Uruguay face challenges establishing dominance behind Argentina.

With Carlo Ancelotti stepping in as the new head coach for the Brazil national team, significant changes could be on the horizon. Ancelotti faces the task of balancing the squad, but maximizing the performance of players like Raphinha and Vinícius Júnior would be a crucial step in improving Brazil`s form.

Venezuela is striving to qualify for the World Cup for the first time ever. Currently positioned seventh in the table, they are in a potential intercontinental playoff spot. However, they hold just a one-point advantage over Bolivia, whose last World Cup appearance was in 1994, coincidentally also held in the United States.
