Bayern Munich is set to host Inter Milan this Tuesday in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals. Despite their dominance in the German Bundesliga, Bayern, coached by Vincent Kompany, is currently facing a series of injury concerns. Jamal Musiala is the latest player to be ruled out, suffering a muscular injury during Friday`s match against Augsburg. He will be absent for both legs of the quarter-final.
Musiala joins a list of sidelined Bayern players including Alphonso Davies, Dayot Upamecano, and Manuel Neuer.
When questioned about the team`s condition, Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany acknowledged the challenges. “We are in a tough situation,” he stated. “However, we are in the Champions League and must focus forward. The available players are ready to give their all. Those selected to play have been training at a high level and are prepared to contribute. I trust these players. I won’t complain, and our goals and strategies remain unchanged. Those who play will be 100% committed and have my full confidence.”

Adding to Bayern`s concerns, Thomas Muller recently announced his departure from the club at the end of this season. Kompany commented on this, saying, “The immediate focus is the Inter match. Muller’s decision deserves respect. His legendary career is immense, and while it’s a significant matter, my priority is preparing the team for the upcoming game.”
Inter Milan`s manager, Simone Inzaghi, also addressed player fitness in his pre-match press conference. He mentioned doubts surrounding Hakan Calhanoglu and Federico Dimarco. “Bastoni and Calhanoglu trained with the team and are being assessed. Dimarco trained separately.
