His team, the Thunder, also earned a spot among the nine nominees for Best Team, particularly after their decisive Game 7 win against the Indiana Pacers.
Several individuals were nominated for ESPY awards based on their exceptional performances at the recent Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris. Gymnastics icon Simone Biles and track star Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone are both candidates for Best Athlete in Women`s Sports.
