2025 NBA Draft Trade Tracker: Latest Deals and News

The 2025 NBA Draft is set to begin Wednesday night in Brooklyn. However, NBA teams haven`t waited until draft night to initiate transactions. Several All-Stars have already been involved in trades since Sunday, starting with the significant summer move where the Houston Rockets acquired Kevin Durant from the Phoenix Suns. The primary trade on draft night itself saw the Charlotte Hornets send center Mark Williams to the Phoenix Suns.

The Boston Celtics have also been notably active in the period leading up to the draft. This week, Boston completed two separate deals involving Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porziņģis. Holiday was traded to the Portland Trail Blazers, with guard Anfernee Simons moving to Boston in return. Concurrently, Porziņģis is joining Trae Young on the Atlanta Hawks, a transaction that allowed the Celtics to achieve significant salary savings.

The trade involving Kevin Durant had an impact on Wednesday`s first round, as the Suns received the 10th overall pick from Houston (a pick that originally belonged to Phoenix). By Wednesday morning, a total of sixteen different first-round selections had changed teams. The Brooklyn Nets, who were also participants in the Porziņģis trade, woke up holding five picks among the top 27 selections.

Further deals were anticipated throughout Wednesday, and a summary of the recorded trades is provided below.
